Wow i nearly died when i fell off a horse when jumping. i was in hospital for 12 weeks and they thougth i was paralised because i couldnt move my legs. i am regaining my confidence but i will always remember the time i nearly died. But i love horses and even though its a dangerous sport i love it and could never do without it. FRANXX

same, im an alright rider and i had a bad fall at my last show at eland lodge where i broke my collar bone
i also respect the riders that do this sort of stuff because its a dangerous sport and lots of people get hurt, most more than i did, you just have to take a change and to be honest its worth it
the video of my falls on my videos if you want to watch it

I rode for two to three years and fell many times. Sometimes it was terrifying, but my trainer would make me go up on the horse again and go for another jump. Unfortunately some people have bad experiences, and you simply need to do it again to overcome - I did, and still remember getting back on my feet covered in dirt and teary eyes after a nasty fall saying “I’m okay” and getting over whatever fear I had by trying again.

i ride, and really respect the riders who do this for a living, they fall and some get hurt, but they still carry on, i look up to them, they never give up doing wt they love. xxxx

at 1:05 that was Tina Lund at the Syracuse invitational!! I saw that, it was really scary bc she didn’t regain consciousness for like half an hour.

The fall at 1:30 looks bad but the horse and rider were probably fine. And the fall at 2:25 looks s0o bad. Can you see the horse kicking the rider while on the ground? Good Video tho.

Thanks!! I think its the saddle position. one of my friends has an english saddle and i got the confidince at her house to get on her horse and jump a small jump only about 6inches or a foot. But i was proud and so was she! Cause she knows all about it.(this was about 3 weeks ago almost 3 years after my jumping experience)But the english saddle felt weird for sure…

this was very tuching but the one where the horse rears and falls over and cant get up almost made me cry

Aww, that sucks. A bad coach can ruin everything… I take it you finally found a good barrel trainer then tho? Barrels would be awesome, I’d love to try it, but I’m on a 16.2hh TB who doesn’t do well around tight turns, has no lead changes and is broke English… I’ve tried it a few times slowly for fun, never had the guts to try it fast on him
good luck with your races

im sorry to hear that..i wish u luck with barrel racing! i dont think u should blame being scared on english riding though. perhaps the training? and barrel riding is very dangerous too…

I wouldnt want to try again. I was to crushed and I am WAY to scared to now. Too many falls over the head. But like i said, i wanted to do Barrel Racing to begin with but we couldnt really find anyone that was a barrel trainer, so i went with english. So I thought it used to be pretty cool, but it is totally ruined and Barrel Racing is now my thing… But totally shattered and i was terrified to get back on a horse for a while. Loved them but was petrified

TNBB3: are you ever going to try jumping again with a different coach? I know you had a bad experience but I think that was mainly your coaches fault, as there is NO WAY anyone should be jumping so high so soon, no matter how good they/the horse is… I think you should try again but go SLOWLY, with a different coach, but I can understand if it ruined the whole idea of ever jumping for you. And barrel racing is a great idea, it looks like so much fun!

The one at 1:59… I’ve done that before. But I stayed half on her for like 30 seconds hehe. Ya ‘aint riding if ya ‘aint fallin’!!!!! =)
July 7th, 2009
ass my instructer used to say.. you are never a true riding if you havn’t had a bad fall! hehe.. yah my fall was galloping in a pasture and getting bucked off by a huge buck! yah only sprang my rist though so was lucky.

…(continuted) because my barrel horse had a rib out, 2 spots in is back, 2 spots in his neck, 1 spot in is but and 1 spot in his head out. We got the chiropracter on him and he has only bucked once since and i didnt fall off. stayed on… So conclusion…. Jumping Dream SHATTERED Barrel Racing Dream a Dream in the making, There is the end of my little story. Feel free to reply to this about questions or anything or drop me a message or something you know the drill! Your youtubers!!

oh my god! Show jumping is dangerous!! i tried it for about 3 months and my trainer had me jumping 3 foot fences and double oxers as a BEGINNER i went over the horses head so many times, my wrist came close to being stepped on once. Another time i fell on the jump, i got knocked out a few times… i finally said enough is enough when she kept making me jump it then raising it when i couldnt do it! I couldnt do it one day and she raised it to a 5ft jump.. i almost broke my arm…
